*RAILWAY POLICY ANNOUNCEMENT*

We have announced the biggest ever cuts to rail fares in England of 33% in a move that will save the average commuter over £1000 a year.

This will make a huge impact to those commuting into London from Newbury every morning.

We will also make rail travel FREE for those 16 years old and under.

I have also made a proposal that has been backed by former transport minister, Lord Adonis. I propose that the old railway line from Southampton to Oxford via Newbury should be reopened to decongest the A34, tackling climate change and also increasing connectivity and trade for Newbury.
