Friday 8th November – GE2019 Campaign Launch
After confirming Newbury’s candidate only the day before, Newbury Labour was proud hosts to the Launch of James Wilders campaign to become MP. A mixture of new and old dedicated members gathered in central Newbury to hear a rousing heart felt speech from James about his plans and future vision for his constituency. Backed up by a core team of supporters, the members were invited to get involved in one of our most inclusive campaigns to date.
One policy pledge that James was excited to annouce was his plan to reopen the railway between Didcot and Southampton.
“Reopening this railway will strengthen our connections thoughtout the region and help us meet our climate goals by encouraging reduction in car travel.”
James above all else wants to see the best for our area and has community at heart.
