Charlie Croal Standing for Tilehurst South & Holybrook
Charlie Croal has lived in Fords Farm with his wife Valerie since 2006 and has been a parish councillor since 2008. He is now seeking to represent local residents on the bigger stage of West Berkshire Council.
Charlie works in Customer Services and is a member of UNITE the Union.
Charlie is committed to getting a better deal for the residents of Tilehurst South and Holybrook from the Newbury-based District Council.
Charlie is also concerned about the large amounts of council tax payers’ money given to private companies for running council services like Dutch-owned Volker Highways and French-owned Veolia. His aim will be to ensure value for money and he is strongly-minded that it would be much more efficient and better for residents if the Council started providing services themselves “in-house”.
Charlie is worried about over development on land near Junction 12 of the M4 motorway and is concerned about noise and air pollution and the impact on local schools and doctor’s surgeries.
