Mike spent his working life as a Librarian in local government, and was Library Service Manager for West Berkshire up to 2017.

He has lived in Thatcham for 23 years and Mike’s main hobbies are Cricket, Tennis and Amateur Dramatics and he represent Thatcham Tennis Club on the Thatcham Memorial Foundation’s Board of Trustees, for whom he is currently the Treasurer.

 Mike is also a well regarded  public speaker and has given talks to local groups including the U3A and Women’s Institute.

Mike  joined the Labour Party in 1986.
