Vice Chair Membership
Workers are still under represented in politics. And while strides had been made across the decades, much work is still required.
As a former Council candidate, CLP Vice Chair of Membership, Women’s Officer and Campaign Co-ordinator, I have had first hand experience of the challenges the Labour Party faces in getting members to come forward & take their place in the management structures of the party so as to drive forward worker’s agendas in politics.
We have to ask why. Much of the political structures are daunting when first attempting to understand them. Therefore it is my job to ensure that the membership has all the knowledge they need and can best find their way in how to get more involved.
