Sam has always supported the Labour Party but only joined as a member in 2018, driven to more direct involvement by the ongoing debate about Europe.

Her main hope is to see Labour return to government in order to restore greater equality through state action after too many years of Tory austerity. She believes in an open, welcoming society working closely with countries worldwide to oppose narrow nationalism and racism. Sam works for West Berkshire in a local day-care centre for adults.

As Political Education Officer, she hopes to help foster an environment of open, friendly and informed debate. She will work as part of a team to arrange a succession of Speaker Events and social occasions for members.
