Bert Clough has been an active member of the Labour Party for 46 years and a former parliamentary candidate. Bert’s professional life has been developing national policies which open up second -chance education and training to adults. Now retired, he is a visiting professor of education at Leeds University, an Associate Fellow of Oxford University and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He is a volunteer with West Berkshire Homeless charity, a reading mentor with the charity Assisting Berkshire Children to Read and a Newbury Samaritan.
