Originally from Lambourn, Gary has lived in Newbury and Greenham for almost 35 years and is currently a Greenham Parish Councillor.

Educated at John Gaunt school Hungerford, he later studied at the University of Central Lancashire gaining a 1st class BSc (honours) degree in Fire Safety and further studied at the University of Leicester achieving a Master of Laws in Employment Law.

A former firefighter and fire safety officer, he now has a senior safety role within nuclear decommissioning.

Gary believes in social justice and has long been an advocate for employment rights and campaigns such as equality of pension rights for Gurkha Veterans.
