" I will ensure greater transparency against budgets, including legal services." Ian McKay
Ian McKay has been selected to stand as the Labour candidate for Bradfield in the West Berkshire Council elections on May 2nd.
A self employed Auto Electrician, Ian was a former shop steward with the Transport & General Workers union, and has a long and proud history with Labour spanning back to making meals for the striking miners in 1983.
Daily he travels the length & breadth of West Berkshire carrying out his work and can’t but help notice that while our council taxes are rising, the services are decreasing. The road conditions have deteriorated, charges are being imposed for formerly included waste services, and libraries, fixed and mobile have suffered under unnecessary austerity policies.
“I will ensure that there is greater financial transparency against department budgets, including legal services. Its time the tax payers had a clear view of where their tax dollars are going.”
